Fluid Art

Art is about captured moments. Where art involes movement it often ends up showing emotion. For me, this is best done with watercolor. The transparency of the color and the movement of the paint in water helps to convey a sense of movement unlike the fixed permanent nature of oil and acrylic. Images can come to life when these moments of fluidity and movement are caught with water, color and paper.

The artist - Marcell Easter

I am a self taught artist. I love to paint using watercolor and to educate the public about the power and vibrancy of the medium. Much of what I paint is displayed without glass. It is protected by attaching the paper to a matboard or wood board. The finished painting is covered with an acrylic glaze and framed like an oil painting. I want the viewer to be as close as possible to the art.
